Shingles and Chicken Pox Resources
Symptoms and Treatment
Chickenpox is normally a childhood illness. But it can return as Shingles later in life.
We're all familiar with Chickenpox. Most of us had it as children. But what I didn't know was that it can often return -- triggered by stress or other causes -- as Shingles in adults.
Shingles can cause chronic pain, and -- rarely -- disfiguring lesions. Both my wife and her father had Shingles hit them during a time of high stress in their lives. If you believe you have Shingles, it's important to have it treated promptly! The longer treatment is delayed, the worse the long-term outlook becomes.
