The first book on the list -- The Promise of Sleep by William C. Dement -- is one I recommend highly. Dr. Dement is probably the foremost sleep researcher active today. I read his book over a year ago, and was very impressed. It's the book I recommend to my family and friends who complain of sleep problems.
